Suzette Jordan is no more. She died this morning. Do you know her? Ring any bell? Remember the infamous "Park Street Rape" incident in Kolkata few years back? Yep she was the one, the Park Street Rape Victim. A divorcee rebellious woman, used to live with her mother and a daughter. She was gang raped by two spoiled rich brat, who are still absconding by the way. Kolkata's very own Nirbhaya... but she was in news for all the wrong reasons. She was portrayed as a slut and the gruesome rape was termed as a mere bargain issue between a hooker and her customer. She had enough... the social, mental, physical trauma, torture, humiliation was unspeakable. She was even pushed away from a restaurant allegedly for being a rape victim. But Suzette was a wonder woman..A tigress in deed. She fought back fiercely.. She showed her face in the media and made this famous statement,
."My name is Suzette Jordan and I don't want to be known any longer as the victim of Calcutta's Park Street rape." Its a sheer tragedy that she had to leave the battle ground so soon. RIP Suzette Jordan. RIP Kolkatar Nirbhaya
